A former Internal Revenue Agent and Appeals Officer, in July of 2025 I left the IRS after 24 years. I love accounting because it’s an adaptable system which makes it inherently well designed. I love a project because completion allows me to use all my favorite skills -organization, problem solving, and systems design – to experience the joyous tingle of accomplishment.

Uninspired by my fitness routine, I tried recreational circus classes in 2017 and discovered that circus skills are just another way to solve problems – odd, manufactured problems, but solved problems none the less. I found my outlet.
